Canada is full of awe-inspiring National Parks, jaw-dropping landscapes and natural beauty that is incomparable to anywhere else on Earth. Moraine Lake
This lake can be found in Banff National Park. Its surface area (of approximately 50 hectares) is glacier fed and sits at an elevation of 1,884 metres, with a maximum depth is 14 metres. Take in the clear waters while canoeing under the peaks that loom over you!
Niagara Falls
Situated in Ontario, Niagara falls is a sight you simply must see. Take in this beautiful waterfall from the (slightly wet) vantage point behind the falls. Or the observation deck on 520-ft high Skylon Tower.
Lake Louise
Lake Louise is another lake that can be found in Banff National Park. Take in the gorgeous turquoise waters from one of the hiking trails up to the Lake Agnes Tea House…or why not take a canoe in the summer? Either way, you’ll find a great way to experience this lake which sits at an elevation of 1,600 metres.
Maligne Lake
Maligne Lake can be found in Jasper National Park. Three glaciers are visible from the lake, as well as Spirit Island. It has a surface elevation of 1,670 metres and a maximum depth of 97m.
Joffre Lake
You may already recognise this lake, especially since it is one of the most photographed lakes in the world! It’s actually part of 3 lakes that make up Joffre Lakes Provincial Park, which is situated 35km east of Pemberton in British Columbia. Established in 1988, the three glacier-fed lakes include Lower, Middle and Upper Joffre Lakes.
